Anna Rabbit is an illustrator, painter, comic artist, and tattooist based in Kraków, Poland. She was born in Asia where she received her master’s in art. She got a postgraduate painting degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 2025.
Working across painting, illustration, textiles, and wearable art, her practice combines traditional Eastern textile techniques with strong emphasis on using almost exclusively recycled materials. Her work explores ethnic identity, memory, cultural heritage, and the relationship between the body, clothing, and image.
Anna Rabbit’s practice is centered on self-portraiture, understood not as a single genre but as a continuous process of self-construction and transformation. She considers all of her works to be self-portraits, regardless of medium. Whether through costume, soft sculpture, illustration, painting, or tattooing her own body, she repeatedly implements herself into her work. The body functions simultaneously as subject, material, and site of intervention, with adornment, alteration, and embodiment serving as recurring strategies for exploring identity and personal narrative.
